Your password is never sent to our server. We use true k-anonymity: your browser hashes your password locally (SHA-1), and only the first 5 characters of the hash are sent to our server to proxy the HIBP API. Your full hash and password never leave your browser. For email checks, your email is transmitted securely via HTTPS and processed server-side. We do not store your checks.
