Terms of Service

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Acceptance

By using Breach Checker (breachchecker.online), you agree to these terms.

Service description

Breach Checker provides free and premium security tools including email breach checking, password testing, SSL checking, DNS lookup, and related services. All tools are available through the web interface at breachchecker.online.

Free vs Premium

Free accounts have limited daily usage (3 email checks per day). Premium subscriptions (€1/month) unlock unlimited access to all tools including IP reputation, geolocation, URL scanning, DNS lookup, SSL checking, breach timeline, and more. Payments are processed securely via PayPal.

Account registration

You must provide a valid email address and choose a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

Promo codes

Promo codes are valid for a limited time and number of uses. We reserve the right to modify or revoke promo codes at any time.

Prohibited use

You may not use this service for illegal activities, unauthorized data scraping, automated bot access that harms service availability, or any purpose that violates applicable laws.

Data accuracy

This service is provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, breach data is based on third-party sources (XposedOrNot, Have I Been Pwned) and may not be complete or up to date. Always follow official security recommendations.

Limitation of liability

Breach Checker is not responsible for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service. Security decisions based on our tools are your own responsibility.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Legal Status — Technical Intermediary ("Mere Conduit")

Breach Checker operates as a technical service provider under French and EU law (LCEN 2004-575, GDPR). We process passwords using k-anonymity (hashed client-side, only hash prefix transmitted). Email addresses are transmitted securely via HTTPS for breach lookups. We do not store, index, share, or sell your search queries. Breach data is sourced from third-party databases and we are not responsible for its completeness. We do not provide legal, financial, or professional advice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law (EU).
